“298 prisoners sent by the Lodz Gestapo receive Nos. 35363-35660.

Five prisoners – three bricklayers and two assistants-begin to repair the chimney and the engine housing in the crematorium under the supervision of the Head Capo, Prisoner Number 17401″ (Czech 169). (Remember, capos are reich deutsch–German prisoners who serve their sentence by working in the camps and overseeing the non-reich deutsch prisoners: POWs, Jews, Gypsies, etc., they could range from political prisoners, who were against the Reich, to murderers).
